RESEARCH REQUESTS- Please note:
Those needing research of any kind done by the Pawnee County Historical Society must contact the Historical society via phone, mail or email with the information you want looked up, including FULL names of ancestors, dates and any other leads you can give. We can not do research on "my great-great grandfather" without knowing his name.

Research costs: $10/hour and copies cost from $0.25 on up (The County Court House charges $5 minimum for copies of records stored there)

If you are sure of the amount you will owe for the research you want done or copies you need, you can use the Paypal Donate Now button and input the amount.

  • March 25, 2023 2-4 pm, "Write Your Own Life Story" FREE Workshop with the 'Book Doctor' Robyn Conley who provides perspective, guidance, and writing expertise. Pawnee County Historical Society Museum Conference Room. There will be drinks and snacks. Robyn will ask for donations to help pay for gas and will have some of her own books there to sign and sell.

  • May 29, 2023 10a.m. Pawnee County Memorial Day Ceremnony, West side of the County Courthouse Yard. Names of veterans who have died since Memorial Day 2022, Taps played, Flag raised to full staff, Bricks of Honor announced and Quilts of Valor will be Awarded.

  • June 2, 2023 Pawnee Bill All-Star Football Classic. Starting at 7pm, Memorial Field.

  • June 10, 2023 11:00am-7:00pm. Pawnee Bill Ranch Wild West Show/ Activities from 11 am to 7 pm on the ranch. The museum and historic home will be open to the public during the festival from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Food from local food trucks will be available on-site. There will be historically accurate entertainment such as blacksmithing, chuck wagon cooking, gunfighters and sharpshooters, a magician, medicine man shows, and musicians held continuously on the ranch grounds from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Pawnee Bill Original Wild West Show stagecoach will be available for photos at the arena from 4 to 6:30 p.m., along with Wild West demonstrations and games. Pre-show festivities begin inside the area at 7 p.m. with the big show beginning at 7:30 p.m.

    Admission costs are $10 for adults; $8 for seniors over the age of 62; $5 for children ages 6–12; and free admission for children five and younger. Tickets are not sold in advance or online.   • September 1, 2, 3, 4, 2023 Ralston, OK 77th Annual Labor Day Celebration. Old fashioned town celebration with a carnival, vendors. music, contests and tours of the historic buildings.   • October 2023 Pawnee Bill Ranch Museum Annual Quilt Show. Area quilters bring in their finest works and family heirlooms to share with the public. Everything from 100 year old traditional quilts to modern abstract masterpieces will be on exhibit during the museum’s regular hours of operation. The quilt show is free to the public.
